"In 2012 I made the NZ 7's team after being spotted playing at a touch tournament by the selectors. I'd never played 7's before being invited to camp to trial for the team."

I didn't start my career with Deloitte

“I started my career at another professional services firm, but when I returned from Amsterdam having won the Women’s 7’s Rugby World series in 2013, Deloitte offered me a role.”

I work flexibly

“It was Deloitte’s idea that I work flexibly so I could continue to play rugby.”

“Despite the flexibility it was still difficult to balance the commitments of work and rugby. Deloitte supported me to take a career break to pursue my rugby dreams and travel the world.”

I make an impact

“My position within the Maori Business team has provided me with opportunities to engage and help on a community level. An example of this is with the Te Hunga Roia Maori o Aotearoa – the Maori Law Society. Deloitte do the pro bono work for them and I was lucky enough to be asked to be involved and I have been their Treasurer since 2016.”

In my current role, I make an impact by supporting Maori clients through negotiations with the Crown.
